I gather this can be done either through midi, or through OSC, neither of which I have much experience with. My goal for the next production is to use Q-lab to fire the X32 scene changes (mutes, levels, etc) and move all audio cue control to a single device (there's still live mixing to be done of course).

For our last show, I programmed the console with a show full of cues that a novice volunteer operator could fire off with the 'Go' button, as well as an SFX cue-list in Q-lab. Can anyone offer any advice or guidance: - Is Midi or OSC preferred? - What hardware interface is required in each case? - Googling around has left my head spinning can anyone point me to a good how-to resource on either approach? - Any words of wisdom on show design using this methodology? Many thanks! FWIW, I also hope to integrate lighting cues so that the whole show is controlled from a single device.
